Creating the finished web site
Publishing the pages:
Click the Publish icon, the Publishing page will open up. You can view all the files and assets here. Click the Generate icon to have the site created. The pages will be created, then your browser of choice will launch so that you can view the work. If you go back to make changes, you can generate only the changed page by itself instead of the entire site.
Generating the entire site
In the first window choose where you want the files to save to. A local save on your computer/My Computer. Point it to the User Folder you created so that it is saved in a folder called "Local Publish". You have to change the setting to upload it to a web site. It is always best to have a copy saved locally. I use another FTP program to upload to the server.
Generating a single page or level:
Generating a single page only - check the box to generate the page with only the changed assets.
Click on the double >> button where it says "Home" to open the drop down menu shown above. Double click the page you want to re-publish/generate to show the new changes that were made.
Make sure you have double clicked the page you want. Check to be sure it changed from Home in the window to the page you want to re-publish. Occasionally it may not change from Home to the selected page if the click was too fast.
*Generate: when you are ready to publish the files, you click the publish icon and then it takes you to the final page in the web site creation, the publishing area, all the files and information can be viewed here. To create the web page you click the "Generate" option.
